Our son, Daniel, suffered a catastrophic heart attack on June 26th and sadly didn't survive. Throughout his stay at Fairfax Hospital, the Cardiac CICU team did everything possible to save Danny. He was on the most advanced life support systems available. There were always multiple caregivers attending to Danny. They took time to explain to us exactly what they were doing to help him recover. They gently and compassionately guided our family over several days to the sad realization that Danny would not survive.

While the loss of our young son (40) was devastating, the professionalism, kindness and compassion exhibited by everyone in the Cardiac CICU touched our hearts. Each of the doctors, nurses, and support staff lightened our sad burden just a little.

We ask that anyone interested in remembering Danny consider contributing to this worthy organization. We, as a community, are very well served by the healthcare professionals in the INOVA Fairfax Hospital System.
