Thank you for visiting the Briar Woods 2024 Dig Pink Fundraising Site! In February of 2022, the father of Senior Varsity Captain Taylor Hansen (#4) was diagnosed with Stage IV non small cell lung cancer at the age of 51. Taylor was a freshman at the time. He died just 13 months later in March of 2023. In the space between, he didn’t miss a match. If her dad wasn’t able to be in person cheering, he was watching the live stream from home or a hospital bed. It’s a battle their family never saw coming and tackled it head on with a POSITIVE VIBES ONLY (PVO) mantra that Taylor's dad embodied every day. Jennifer Hansen, Taylor's mom, will be sharing more about PVO and their family journey at the match on October 15! Freshman/JV 545p, Varsity 7p!
